Artcaffé Group has announced the opening of its 35th Artcaffé branch which is located at the Westminster House in the Nairobi CBD along Kenyatta avenue. This is their second branch in CBD following the opening of Artcaffé Kimathi Street in early September.
The new 250 seater branch marks yet another opening for the Group for 2019.They have opened new branches at Kitengela Mall, Capital Centre on Mombasa Road, Kimathi Street, Valley Arcade along with two kiosks at Standard Chartered Chiromo and Ignite Fitness, Westgate. The Westminster branch is also the largest outlet for a single Artcaffé location.
Westminster House, a three-floor building with balustrade balconies that now houses the newest Artcaffé branch in the CBD, was first built in 1928. The branch will offer a full-service casual dining restaurant, bakery, coffee shop and cocktail bar that is open daily from 6:45 am till midnight.
The Westminster branch will pay tribute to emerging Kenyan artists, serving as a platform to highlight this growing talent pool. The first artist to be featured is George Ongeri, whose works are on display for the month of November.
Artcaffé opened its first café in 2008 and now operates 35 stores throughout Nairobi. The Group also operates a central bakery, and kitchen. It also has a logistics center that prepares and distributes baked goods, food, and drink shipments to its restaurants daily.
The Artcaffé Group’s most prominent chain is Artcaffé Coffee & Bakery. It is a full-service bakery, coffee shop, bar and modern casual dining restaurant. Other chains the company operates include Urban Gourmet Burger, a gourmet burger and sports bar, OhCha Noodle Bar, serving fast and fresh noodle dishes reflective of South East Asian street food, Tapas Ceviche Bar, a restaurant specializing in Spanish dishes and featuring lively happy hours, and the coffeehouse Dorman’s.
