Artcaffe Group has announced the opening of it 27th and 28th branch at Capital Center Mall along Mombasa road. The new branches include an ArtCaffe and an Urban Burger.

The two branches are on two levels and feature dining, meeting spaces, and anoutdoor cocktail bar overlooking Mombasa road.

The new Urban Burger is a sports bar and feature a huge high-definition screen and an immersive sound system. The restaurant also offers burgers, chicken wings, and wide selection of craft beers. They have promised to screen Rugby and football matches, Formula 1 races plus a variety of sports content.

Artcaffe opened its first café in 2008 and now manages 28 stores throughout Nairobi. Artcaffé also operates a central bakery, kitchen, and logistics center that prepares and distributes artisanal baked goods, food, and drink shipments to its restaurants daily. The central kitchen is key to the company’s business model, enabling consistent delivery of fresh and high quality products.

Sagi Vaknin, Managing Director at Artcaffé said: “We will significantly increase the number of locations in 2019, growing our position as a large employer, tax payer, and driver of local supply chain growth with the support of Emerging Capital Partners. Our focus on high international standards is expected to continue its positive impact on the economy.”

The group’s family of 1,300 dedicated and passionate staff is expected to grow at a rate of around 40 new hires per new store opening. The management team started as waiters, cooks and cleaners and today are holding key management positions all the way from logistics, store managers, regional operation managers, and more.

In late 2018, Artcaffé Group received funding backing from private equity investor Emerging Capital Partners (ECP).
