Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has announced that its beer brand, WhiteCap Lager, will sponsor the 2018 Kenya International Polo Tournament to the tune of Ksh. 7 Million. The tournament started last week on 14th September and will end on 23rd September and it is held at the Nairobi Polo Club.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Emerging Beers Marketing Manager, Alice Owambo said that the Kenya International Polo Tournament is a top sport in Kenya, which compliments White Cap Lager brand character. “Boasting of consistent quality, White Cap is unique and full of character. It is the connoisseur’s beer and as a brand we are happy to partner with Nairobi Polo Club,” said Ms. Owambo.

KBL through its White Cap Lager will provide drinks for the players and spectators. “The Kenya International Polo Tournament has demonstrated a rich legacy of longevity that blends well with the White Cap Lager brand. We are proud to be associated with this tournament, which attract widespread media interest and the élite of Kenyan society,” added Ms Owambo.

The Kenya International Polo Tournament will see some of the best polo players from around the world battle it out against Kenya’s finest players and ponies. This year’s list of players includes; James Murray, Duncan Watson, Eric Stubbs who will be thrilling spectators over the two weekends. Last year’s tournament saw Samurai emerge winners in an exciting 12 goal polo tournament and will this year be defending their title.
