Airtel Money is a mobile money platform offered by Kenyan telecommunications company, Airtel Kenya. It is also available in 13 other African countries through the parent company, Airtel Africa.
It allows customers to make payments and offer a wide range of services through the My Airtel App or *334# USSD code. It provides several benefits to its users, making it a convenient way to manage finances and conduct various transactions.
The Airtel Money app is available for download on Android & iOS.
Airtel Money also helps customers to send and receive money across different countries where Airtel operates and to other countries, with the help of partners. These countries include; Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Africa, US, UK, Australia, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Sweden.
To send money from Airtel Money to a customer in another country, dial *334# on your mobile phone, select Send Money and then Select Another Country. The following countries and telecommunication companies are supported.
· Tanzania: Airtel Tanzania, Vodacom/Mpesa & Tigo Pesa Tanzania.
· Rwanda: Airtel Rwanda & MTN Rwanda.
· Zambia: Airtel Zambia
· Malawi: Airtel Malawi.
· Uganda: Airtel Uganda & MTN Uganda.
· Ethiopia: Ethio Telcom.
Airtel Money customers can be able to receive money from Airtel Money from the following countries and through the corresponding partners
· Tanzania: Airtel Tanzania, Vodacom Tanzania, and Tigo Pesa Tanzania.
· Rwanda: MTN Rwanda and Airtel Rwanda.
· Zambia: Airtel Zambia.
· Uganda: Airtel Uganda.
· South Africa: South Africa via Mama Money
