The Thika Sports Club will come alive this weekend as it plays host to the fifth leg of the DTB Bank with us Golf Tournament. Saturday’s action is set to witness over 200 golfers, including DTB customers from Thika and its environs, battling it out for a variety of prizes.
DTB’s Director of Sales Dr. Kennedy Nyakomitta said the Bank is looking forward to having a large number of players on the course.“Golf is one of the key assets we are using to connect and interact with our customers across the country. This year, we have had four successful tournaments in different counties which have allowed us to meet our customers, engage with them, and gather their feedback. We anticipate hosting more events as they also serve to promote and showcase sporting talent”.
The golf series commenced in April at Sigona Golf Club and has been held in Kiambu, Trans Nzoia, Nakuru, and most recently, Malindi at Malindi Golf Club. In Malindi, Walter Juma emerged fourth overall winner of this year’s series, after posting 42 points.
Other winners were Jiang Qi of Sigona Golf Club, Harun Ndegwa of Kitale Golf Club and Francis Kioni of Nakuru Golf Club in the first, second and third legs, respectively.
