The Chapa Dimba All Stars boys team won their second friendly match against St. Gabriel of Spain when they scored 2-1 in regulation time.

In the match, Benjamin Njenga of Shimanzi Youth and Lual Mengistu of Euronuts found the target each as the All-Stars came from a goal behind to edge out the home team St Gabriel 2- 1. The boys showed an improved performance compared to their opening friendly. The team put to practice what they were taught in training by possessing the ball, building from the back to see them dominate the midfield.

Enock Wanyama, an All-Star player from South B United, had this to say, “We’ve played a good game today. Our midfield was in control and we really had good ball possession. We have gelled together as a team and the trainings are not in vain. We were able to score goals based on the skills we have been learning from our coaches and that is what really count for us.”

The girls team on the other hand was not as lucky as they were beaten 2 – 0 by a tactical St. Gabriel’s team at the same venue.

The All-Stars boys and girls had gone through a-2 hour training in the morning of the match-day with their La Liga coaches taking them through ball passing, agility and opening up space before heading to their hotel for a 6 hour rest. The team comprising of 32, will have a rest day in their seventh day in training before embarking on training on Wednesday.
