Patricia Ithau & Charles Muchene have joined the Barclays Bank Kenya board as non-executive directors.
Patricia Ithau is currently the Regional Director for the Stanford Institute
for Innovation in Developing Economies (Seed). She was previously the founding MD for L’Oreal East Africa and the MD EABL International and Uganda Breweries Limited. She sits on the boards of Enablis Entrepreneurial Network, Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA), Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and TFG (The Foschini Group).
Charles Muchene is the chairman of East African Breweries Limited (EABL) and sits on the Board of AIG Kenya Limited. Charles worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in various capacities before being appointed the Country Senior Partner for Kenya in 1998. He chaired the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) between 1995 and 1998.
Barclays has operated in for 100 years and has 119 branches and over 230 ATM’s countrywide.
