Victoria Kimani, one of Kenya’s leading female artists, just released the video for her single “Prokoto” that features Tanzanian artists Diamond and Ommy Dimpoz.The word ‘Prokoto’ is borrowed from Congolese slang meaning Swagger.
Prokoto follows up from her two previous successful hits ‘Whoa’ and ‘M’Toto’, and is a heavy conga drum led single, which sees Victoria Kimani, Diamond and Ommy Dimpoz infuse their native Swahili language with English.
The video combines scenes of Victoria at the beach with some scenes of her with Diamond, Ommy and a group of dancers. The upbeat feel of the song is bound to make it a great hit as she looks to hit big in the East African entertainment scene.
