Mabati Rolling Mills (MRM) has donated sanitary pads to the Machakos School for the Deaf together with food stuff.

The donation took place at the Machakos School for the Deaf, located in Machakos County. Representatives from Mabati Rolling Mills were joined by school administrators, teachers, and students to mark the occasion. MRM believes that access to basic necessities like sanitary towels should not be a barrier to education for young girls. This donation is a part of the company’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts to support local communities and enhance the quality of life for those in need.

Angela Masha, Communications Officer, Mabati Rolling Mills “We are deeply committed to giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years. We recognize the importance of education, and we are delighted to contribute sanitary towels to the Machakos School for the Deaf to help ensure that female students have access to the resources they need to continue their education comfortably and confidently.”

Mabati Rolling Mills through its philanthropic arm, the Safal MRM Foundation, founded Mabati Technical Training Institute in 2005. The Institute located in Mariakani, Kilifi County has positively impacted thousands of students since its inception in 2005.

The Machakos School for the Deaf is a respected institution that provides education and support for deaf and hearing-impaired students. This donation will directly benefit female students, ensuring that they can focus on their studies without any concerns about personal hygiene. Mrs. Bernice Matheka, the principal of the Machakos School for the Deaf, “We are extremely thankful to MRM for their generous contribution of sanitary towels. This donation will greatly assist our female students and help create a more inclusive and comfortable learning environment for them.”
