A medical camp organized by the Safal MRM Foundation in partnership with the Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani, took place on Sunday, November 5th, 2023. It took place at the Mabati Medical Centre in Mariakani, Kilifi County.

The 2023 medical camp featured a wide array of essential medical services, including free general consultations, diabetes screening, eye screening, cataract surgery, Ear, Nose, and Throat treatments, dental check-ups, free pharmaceuticals, and more. The camp was aimed to address the healthcare needs of the local community, particularly those who may not have easy access to essential medical services.

Attendees came from far and wide, with individuals traveling from Taita Taveta, Mombasa, Kwale, and Makueni to receive much needed medical care.

Safal MRM Foundation Chairman Mr. Sarit Shah expressed the Foundation’s gratitude, “We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Mega Medical Camp. The dedication of our partners and the outpouring of support from the community demonstrate the importance of this initiative. We are committed to continuing our mission of providing healthcare to those in need.”

Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani President Lion Virendra Nagori added, “The Lions Club of Mombasa Pwani is proud to be part of an initiative that brings free healthcare services to the community. The success of the Mega Medical Camp year after year showcases the positive impact we can make when we come together.”

The event’s success was made possible by the dedication from members of the Lions Club of Pwani Mombasa who plan the camp every year and mobilises scores of medical personnel to support the team at the Mabati Medical Centre.
