You’ve probably heard the stories about weird things found in food and drinks. These can get really bizarre, from insects to body parts. I remember back in high school when someone found a lizard in their food. Eating doesnt get more traumatizing than that. Anyway, over the weekend as one reveller while enjoying his beer allegedly found something strange in his bottle – a snake (or something that looked like one). Of course it is hard to believe how this is possilbe but in any case, how would you react to a snake found in a beer bottle?

Luckily, we were able to find out that the victim is doing well. On whether he’ll be drinking beer in the future, we are yet to confirm. We for one enjoyed bottles of Tusker over the weekend and doubt this incident will deter our efforts at conflict with the liver.

With the automation of food and beverage packaging, there are lots of stories of people finding foreign things in their products. We would assume that there are quality checks done to ensure these bottles don’t leave the factory but I guess, human is to err. A friend asked when we shared the story, how this could have been missed by the distributor, bartender or even the victim. This is not an isolated incident though as many people have found foreign things in their packaging around the world.

A year ago, a man found a dead snake in a pack of Bud Light beer. The victim, Marcus Forson, told Anheuser-Busch, the producers of Bud Light, about the incident. The company apologized and reimbursed him. Think that is disgusting? What if you found a dead frog in your soda?
