For a first time conversation, whatever you say should be appropriate. So until you know the girl well, do not start right away with personal issues like the size or her breasts. Pick a more general topic like the music playing if any. Or if you meet at the movies, then discuss the current movie or movies in general. Be composed. If you’re too nervous she may not even give you a second look. Be relaxed as you approach the girl in question. However attracted you are and how badly you want to make her your girlfriend, remember that you’re not exactly facing a life and death situation and so if your endeavor fails it will not kill you. Maybe embarrass and make you feel dejected but it won’t kill you.
Forget the cheesy pick up lines you may have crammed from the internet. Those will only make you appear cheesy and no girl wants that. Other than say “I’m a thief, and I’m here to steal your heartâ€, say something more sensible like “Hi I’m John. You look great in that beautiful dressâ€. Right there you will have worked in an introduction and a subtle compliment in the space of just a few seconds and this is almost sure to win her initial attention. On the same vein, do not go talking quantum physics or such complex and often boring topics in the first few minutes or ever. Also until you know her interests, do not start talking sports and race cars or such topics that more men than women are interested in. Just have a simple fun ice breaker line that will lead to a fun conversation and this will certainly earn you brownie points.
Whatever you do when approaching a girl, be yourself. It is not in anyone’s interest for you to paint a picture totally different from who you really are. This will only complicate issues for you in the future as the girl will get more and more confused if you hook up and your real character and standing begin to show themselves. You on the other hand will have a hard time keeping up with your false persona and yet you will still eventually come out looking like a fake. If the relationship comes to be, it will have started on a false note and will deteriorate into more lies as you try to maintain the image you purported to be. She on the other hand will find out and lose trust in you.
