As part of its 10th-anniversary celebration in Kenya, Uber has launched Uber Safari, an innovative new product category designed to make exploring Nairobi National Park more accessible for both locals and tourists. This new service, which combines technology with tourism, underscores Uber’s commitment to supporting Kenya’s vital tourism economy.

Uber Safari offers on-demand access to the world’s only national park located within a capital city. The service provides two offerings: a Day Safari and a Night Safari, both of which can be pre-booked directly through the Uber app using the Uber Reserve feature.

Once booked, riders are picked up in a fully licensed Land Cruiser operated by trusted local tour companies. Each trip includes a licensed guide and a three-hour wildlife experience, bridging the gap between urban life and the natural world. The service is being rolled out in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Kenya Wildlife Services, and the Tourism Regulatory Authority to ensure every journey is safe and reliable.

Imran Manji, General Manager for Uber in East Africa, highlighted the product’s role in boosting the local economy. “Tourism plays a vital role in Kenya’s economy, and with Uber Safari, we are excited to be unlocking new ways for people to connect with our incredible wildlife heritage,” he said. “This product is designed to make safaris more convenient for residents and visitors, while also creating new earning opportunities for local drivers and communities.”

Anabel Díaz, Vice President for Uber in Europe, Middle East, and Africa, added that the new service is a symbol of innovation rooted in local culture. “Uber Safari is a symbol of how technology and tradition can come together to deliver meaningful impact, from strengthening the tourism sector to supporting livelihoods and offering riders experiences they will never forget,” she stated.
