Uganda secured their spot at the top of Group C with a 2-0 victory over Niger at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium. This marked their first ever back to back win in the CHAN tournament.

Allan Okello was the star of the match, scoring the opening goal in the 25th minute just moments after his penalty was saved. He later assisted Joel Sserunjogi, who scored the second goal in the 56th minute.

This victory gives Uganda a total of six points, while Niger remains at the bottom of the group with zero points. Uganda’s win also means they have a strong hold on a quarter-final spot.
