The 2nd edition of Africa Nouveau Festival is set to go down between 2nd-4th Feb at the Ngong Race Course Waterfront. The festival will kick off at 5pm on Friday and end at 11pm Sunday.
The theme of the festival is ‘Afrobubblegum’ and will feature an array of artists from Sao Tome e Principe, Uganda, Kenya, South Africa and DRC. South African musician, Kwesta will headline the festival with a performance on Sunday. Apart from music, the festival will exhibit work from upcoming fashion designers and film makers from across Africa. The festival is designed for an adult audience. Food and drinks from outside will not be allowed into the venue.
The first edition of Africa Nouveau was held in 2015 as an offshoot of Blankets and Wine. The festival’s headliner was Ghanian alternative/indie musician Jojo Abot as well as Kenyan acts like Fena Gitu, Just a Band, Yellow Light Machine among others.
