It can be quite agonizing when you like a guy and you’re not sure how to get him to notice you without scaring him away. In as much as we’re in the 21st century, some rules still apply. Men like to chase and women to be pursued. Of course, this doesn’t mean a girl should sit around waiting for a guy to notice her. Ladies, if you want him, be active in letting him know but in a covert way that will encourage him to make the moves.
1. Do your homework
Find out what the man likes and enjoys. If he’s a football fan, find out more about it. It will definitely come handy in your conversations. You shouldn’t pretend to like something you don’t, but it does make you look good if you’re at least knowledgeable about it.
2. Arrange to be in his space
Find out where he hangs out, preferably somewhere he enjoys spending his time. This will make him associate you with positivity in his life. Great places to conveniently bump into each other include the gym and social gatherings.
3. Be approachable
A smile is worth a million bucks. You should show off your smile every time he looks your way and have a friendly demeanor. Make him feel you’re easy to approach. That being said, don’t have five girlfriends flanking you 24/7. Give the man room to approach.
4. Show off you’ve got it going on
Make it known that you have things going on and you’re not just hanging about idle. Don’t be too available. Men love a girl with her own life and ambitions. Come across as confident and self assured. He’ll want to get to know you and put in the work needed to.
5. Be engaging/flirt
You’re finally chatting with him. Do not go on about your ex or how men are dogs. Also, don’t complain or moan about life. This is where that info on his favourite things come into play. Flirting can be tricky. You want to communicate ‘I like you’ without seeming desperate. Play coy and see if he reciprocates.
The best way to get a guy to notice you is to be the best version of yourself. People can generally tell when you’re faking so don’t. If a guy is to like you, he should because he likes who you are.
