Samsung has unveiled its next-generation smartwatches, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. Unlike the first version, the Galaxy Gear, which was powered by Android the new smartwatches will run on Samsung’s Tizen platform. Apparently switching to Tizen will improve battery life. The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are both compatible with Samsung’s Android smartphones
The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are very similar to the Galaxy Gear but they are thinner and lighter. The Gear 2 has a camera on the front of the watch rather than on the wristband like in the previous version. The Gear 2 Neo does not have a camera and is a bit lighter than the Gear 2.
