The Nokia Lumia Amber Update for Windows Phone 8 devices is now available in Kenya and East Africa in general. The update is available for Nokia Lumia 920, 820, 720, 620, 520, 928, 822, 521 and 810.
To update your Lumia just go to Settings>Phone Updates>Check for Updates. It is advisable that you update on WiFi and that your phone be fully charged during the process.

The Lumia Amber update features
1. Pictures
The amber update the performance of the camera with better low-light photos, improved auto focus and enhanced noise filter.
2. Nokia Glance Screen
With the Glance Screen, your Lumia will double up as a clock with day and night modes while keeping you up to speed on your battery status. The glance screen will however not be available for the Lumia 520.
3. FM Radio
The FM radio feature has finally come to Lumia. Users will need to plug in their earphones for the radio to work.
The FM Radio feature will not available for the Lumia 620, Lumia 810 and Lumia 928.

4. Nokia Smart Camera
The Nokia Smart Camera will enable users to take a sequence of photos. Users will then be able to Choose your best shot, capture a sequence of motion, put the motion in focus, remove unwanted moving objects or select the best expressions to make great group shots.
The Nokia Smart Camera app will be available for download from the Nokia Collection in the Windows Phone 8 app store.

The Lumia Amber update is available for the Lumia 520, 620, 820 and 920 according to the Nokia website.
