Samsung last week introduced a new mid level smartphone into the market, the Samsung Galaxy Trend. The Galaxy Trend runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has an internal memory of 6GB that is expandable via microSD. It comes with a 5 Megapixel camera, 4.0 inch screen. The Galaxy Trend heavily borrows design elements from the SIII.
The device is exclusive to Safaricom and is retailing at Kshs. 15,999.
At that price point and with its features, the Galaxy Trend is a bargain and I predict that it will be very popular in the lower and mid-level segment of the smartphone market.
