Samsung has this morning officially launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 in Kenya at an event at Nairobi Serena.
Speaking at the launch Robert Ngeru, Samsung East Africa’s COO shared that the Galaxy S range of smartphones have been very popular in this part of the world and they are hoping to get the same reception with the Galaxy S4. He also added that Samsung is offering to fix screen cracks and liquid damage twice for a period of 24 months but only if users register the S4 with E-warranty.
Photographer Mutua Matheka previewed the sound and shot feature in the Galaxy S4 by sharing some pictures, with sound, that he had taken earlier.
Safaricom yesterday became the first Telco in Kenya to offer the S4 for sale. It first delivered the S4’s to the customers who have pre-ordered the S4. A total of 79 customers had pre-ordered the S4 from Safaricom. Safaricom is selling the S4 at Kshs. 64,999.
The S4 is also available at Samsung Brand shops and Airtel shops.
