The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) has announced the suspension of flights by national carrier Kenya Airways (KQ) to the country from January 22, 2024.

This new development stems from a reciprocity dispute that saw cargo operations by Air Tanzania from Nairobi to Burundi blocked by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA). TCAA contends that the action is against an MOU signed by the two countries in 2016.

This move will impact Kenya Airways flights between Dar-es-Salaam and Nairobi. The airline operates 33 weekly scheduled flights between the two destinations.
