General Electric (GE) has announced the appointment of Brenda Mbathi as the Chief Executive Officer for East Africa. She is expected to play a pivotal role in steering the next phase of strategy and growth for GE in the East African market excluding Ethiopia. She will also lead the development of diverse programs with public and private sector projects and partnerships across East Africa.

Brenda who joined General Electric in 2015, brings on board more than 27 years of experience in government affairs, CSR and corporate relations. In addition to her role as Government Affairs Director, Brenda leads Corporate Social Responsibility for Sub-Saharan Africa, including implementing a OneGE strategy under the “Kujenga” brand for CSR. Brenda will be a part of the Africa Leadership Team.
