Pad Heaven Initiative has launched a new book called Path To Womanhood that is geared towards helping adolescent girls to understand menstruation and better take care of themselves when on their periods. Path To Womanhoodis available for sale on Rugano Books for Ksh. 325.
The new book, which was published by the Kenya Literature Bureau, is a guide of girls aged 9 to 14 years. It is a guide book for menstrual hygiene book and it covers puberty, menstruation, personal hygiene, pain management and diet. The book can also be used by parents, teachers and guardians to guide young girls on how to navigate their periods.
Its manufacturers reusable cloth sanitary pads. The reusable pads are sold in a pack of 6 pads for Ksh. 500. Additionally, they sell a school kit that contains 6 pads, 3 pairs of panties and one face flannel for Ksh 750.
