eCommerce company, Sky Garden, has received Ksh. 121 Million ($1.2 Million) funding from Jesper Drescher, TRK Group based in Norway, The Katapult Accelerator Follow-up Fund, and a syndicate of Danish Business Angels led by Futuristic.vc.

The company has operations in Kenya but was founded in September 2015 by Christian Grubak and Martin Majlund. It claims to have had its first transaction in Kenya May 2017 and 3,000 unique Kenyan webshops (by January 2018).

The platforms offers businesses the ability to open a shop on its platform and sell products from it. It charges businesses a flat rate of 8% per transaction and handles customer service, delivery, and mobile money payments on behalf of the businesses.

They claim to do same day delivery within Nairobi and 24 to 48 hour delivery for the rest of the country.

Daniel Maison the Kenyan CEO while Isaac Hunja is the CMO and James Mwai serves as the CTO.
