Uber and Branch have partnered to provide existing Uber drivers with a loan of Ksh. 30,000. The loan is geared towards helping the drivers set up their own businesses and apply for relevant licenses.
To qualify for the loan, the drivers will need to have completed at least 500 trips on Uber and have a 4.6 rating. The Ksh. 30,000 will be payable within 6 months at a fee of Ksh. 2,172. Drivers can apply for the loan here kenya.ubermovement.com.
Existing Uber drivers can also access car financing of between Ksh. 1 million and Ksh 1.5 million from Sidian Bank.
