A young couple was standing at a shop when a man passing by accidentally knocked the young woman with his elbow, then gave a quick apology and went on his way. The young lady immediately started hurling insults after the man. The man, still walking on, turned his head to look at her. The lady shouted that even if he looked at her that way, she was not afraid of him because her boyfriend was there to defend her. The boyfriend backed her up and said that no one can mess with his girl when he is round. He asked the man to come back and apologise to the love of his life before he was forced to smash his skull against a nearby wall. He was shaking a fist. He was ready for war. Did this man know who he was? He would show him. He just messed with the wrong one. The boyfriend shouted that he would finish him, that he would demonstrate to him how he should keep his elbows away from people, especially his girl.

So the man turned around and started walking back towards them. As he got closer and closer with every step, the boyfriend realised that the man was thrice his size, and way stronger. He was either angry or had a mean looking face, naturally.

The girlfriend was still running her mouth when the man got there.

“I’m not afraid of you! My boyfriend will teach you how to respect me. Right, baby?” the young lady asked.

The boyfriend was already intimidated by the size and unappealing looks of the man.

“What?” the boyfriend asked.

“You won’t let him get away with this, right?” the girl asked.

“Please don’t involve me.”

“But baby, this guy hurt me with his elbow.”

The man was looking at the boyfriend up and down, saying nothing, letting the look in his eyes speak for him.

“Are you sure you did not provoke him?” the boyfriend asked.

“Excuse me?”

“I mean, for him to hit you with his elbow, you must have done or said something that pissed him off.”

“My God, of course I didn’t!”

“In that case, then it was an accident and accidents happen.”

“Tell him to apologise to me,” the young woman said then clicked her tongue.

The man was still standing there, directly opposite the boyfriend, their faces a few inches apart. He looked like the Big Show while the boyfriend looked like Eric Omondi.

“You should be able to forgive without getting an apology, sweetie,” the boyfriend advised.

“Are you serious?”

The boyfriend looked at the big man.

“Look, man,” he told him. “I’m sorry. The mistakes was hers…”

“Are you serious?” the girlfriend cut in.

“She was in your way, and all you ever wanted in life at that point was to just pass. Maybe the elbow was just being adventurous, and you didn’t mean to dig it into her arm.”

“Are you serious?” the lady asked, looking surprised.

“So you were gonna beat me up?” the man asked the boyfriend.

“What? No way! I was just kidding. I make a lot of jokes hehe.”

The man took one step back.

“Seriously? I can’t believe this!” said the girlfriend.

“What.”

“You’re letting this big, ugly fool off the hook just like that?”

“Who are you calling ugly fool?” the man asked, his fists clenched.

The boyfriend decided to run for his life.

“I will leave you two to settle your differences,” the boyfriend told his girlfriend, placing his hand on her shoulder. ” Good luck.
