Consultant and Business Daily columnist Carol Musyoka has been appointed to the East African Breweries Ltd board as a Non-Executive Director. The listed company announced the appointment of Carol and Geiszl Gyorgy, who joins EABL as the new group Finance Director, yesterday in a letter to the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

Carol Musyoka has extensive senior-level experience in banking and corporate finance, having previously been Chief Operating Officer at K-Rep Bank, Corporate Director of Barclays Bank, Kenya and Corporate Manager with Citibank Kenya. Carol received her Masters of Law degree from Cornell University, USA and holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi. She also sits on the board of BAT Kenya, TransCentury and SOS Childrens Villages.

Geiszl Gyorgy replaces Tracy Barnes, who has been accused by EABL employees of racial bias. Geiszl is a Hungarian national who joined Diageo in 2006 as the Finance Director Corporate Region and Diageo Business Services Centre. He was most recently the Finance director for Diageo’s Russia and Eastern Europe market. He is a Chartered accountant and holds a PHD in Economics.

  • Nick Blazquez – Group Deputy Chairman.
  • Charles Ireland – Group Managing Director and CEO.
  • Geiszl Gyorgy – Group Finance Director.
  • Carol Musyoka – Non Executive Director.
  • Allan Shonubi – Non Executive Director.
  • Jane Karuku. Non Executive Director (Kenya Breweries Limited MD).
  • Japheth Katto – Non Executive Director.
  • Nehemiah Mchehu – Non Executive Director.
  • Ruth Ngobi – Company Secretary.
