WordCamp Kenya is a conference about the world’s most popular blogging software WordPress. Developers, designers and users will come together for talks and workshops related to WordPress and to publishing on the web, and to network.

The event has been held annually for the past 3 years. WordCamp Kenya has achieved many first since it’s inception in 2011. Most notably is that the official WordCamp Twitter hash tag #WCKE was a worldwide trend on day 1 of the event in 2012. The second first is that it is the only WordCamp in the world that has taken place at a real campsite.

The 3rd WordCamp is also set to be held at another campsite on November 9 and 10th 2013, this time in Nanyuki at the foot of Mt. Kenya.

WordCamp is a great getaway for bloggers. They get to have fun and learn more about how to make their blogging experience more interesting and better.

The 2013 theme is “Proudly Kenyan”. The theme is about Kenya celebrating 50 years of independence and having the bloggers tell the world all the things that make Kenya unique. The event also coincides with WordPress’ 10th anniversary and there will be a celebration to mark this.
