Chalkboard-Manicure

Most individuals usually go to the salon when they need their manicure done. This is a good thing to do if you are a constantly busy person and you do not have the time of day to work on your nails. If you can however find some time during the weekend, it will be great to work on your nails for once. There are manicure ideas that you will not get at the salon or anywhere else for that matter. There are tips that you can use to ensure that you do your manicure perfectly and that it lasts long.

Clean the nails

Your finger nails should be squeaky clean before you can begin the manicure process. You should wash your hands and scrub your nails thoroughly with a soft scrubbing brush so that you can get rid of any dirt that might be sticking on your finger nails. Once your nails are clean, you should use cotton wool and nail polish remover to ensure that there are no oils or other elements left on your nails.

Sticky base coat

Not many individuals are aware of the fact that you need to apply base coat first before you can get to the nail polish. The base coat will help your nail polish stick to your nails and thus not chip off easily as time goes by. When you go to the cosmetic store to get your base coat, you should ensure that it is sticky enough so that it can do its work perfectly.

Seal the tip of your nails

The color nail polish that you want to apply usually comes after the base coat. Two coats of the color nail polish are recommended. When you seal the tips of your nails, it will be hard for the nail polish to lift off and chip. When you apply the second coat of your color nail polish, you should move your brush from one end of your nails to the other so that you can seal off any opening that might be left at the tips of your fingers. This will help keep the nail polish in place for a longer time.

Buy drying drops

A bottle of drying drops helps the nail polish to dry up faster. When you invest in a bottle, you will have an easier time getting your nail polish to dry up. You will only need to apply one drop per nail and wait for a few seconds as your nail polish dries up. This definitely beats having to carefully watch where you place your hands for about half an hour as you desperately wait for the nail polish to dry hoping that nothing will touch your nails in the process.
