I had a very interesting discussion with a friend about how us, men, have lost sight on what to look for in a woman especially when seeking a partner. We are in a society that is heavily influenced by entertainment media and so our definition of a good partner have changed from what existed in the past. With the onset of music videos, movies and reality shows it is really hard to talk about the right partners especially taking a moral ground. Anyway, that’s besides the point. Question is, what do men look for in a partner? I’ll give two from my list and hope we can engage together and see where we lie as a society.
1. Speaks her mind
Have ever been to a date and you had to talk all through? No. Lucky you. I like someone who speaks their mind but not on just any matter but matters that engage intellectual stimuli. This can range from lifestyle issues, politics (not a favorite) to sports (yes, there are girls who are really knowledgeable about sports and not just who is the hottest player on the pitch or court). This post here is highly relevant. In short, a girl that’s open minded.
2. Positive
You should try as much as possible to surround yourself with positive people especially if it’s someone you want to spend most of your time with. This is somebody who’ll lift you up when you are feeling down and also be there when you’re feeling high (as in happy high not drug high).
I could go on and on with this list but I’d rather know what you look for and keep the discussion going from there.
