Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), via its flagship brand Tusker, has officially renewed its partnership with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. KBL will be the primary patron of Young Lions Kenya competition 2026 from February 6–8, 2026.

The competition serves as the ultimate litmus test for creatives under the age of 30. This year, 42 participants, organized into 21 specialized teams, will face a grueling 48-hour deadline to solve real-world briefs. The stakes are high, with the winning teams earning the honor of representing Kenya at the Cannes Lions Festival in France.

The 2026 cohort is divided across three core disciplines:

  • Design: 8 teams
  • Film: 6 teams
  • Digital: 7 teams

A panel of 30 industry judges will oversee the evaluations, ensuring that the work meets the rigorous international standards expected on the global stage.

“This platform gives young creatives the opportunity to showcase their skills, benchmark themselves against global standards, and gain exposure at the world’s most prestigious celebration of creativity,” said Christine Kariuki, Head of Mainstream Beer at KBL. “Tusker remains committed to consistently unlocking opportunities for this budding talent to learn, grow, and excel.”

The competition will be hosted at the EABL Microbrewery.
