Safaricom M-PESA will sponsor the inaugural Magical Kenya Ladies Golf Open which is set to take place from 5th to 8th December 2019 at the Vipingo Ridge Baobab Course. The tournament is part of the Ladies European Tour and is organized by U.COM Event.
The tournament will mark the first time professional lady golfers have played competitively in the region and will also be the final event of the 2019 season. The 72-hole stroke play competition will be a significant milestone in the history of the sport in Kenya.

Tickets are now on sale for Kenyans and golf lovers who want to be a part of the event. General admission tickets are available at Ksh. 1000 per day while VIP tickets will go for Ksh. 10,500 per day or Ksh. 45,000 for a week-long VIP pass.
The VIP ticket will offer access to the exclusive Clubhouse rooftop with priority views over the golf course, a welcome present, premium food and drinks, top level security and VIP parking. Tickets are available on ticketsasa.com.
The player field for the tournament is 108 with golfing stars from all over the world battling it out for the coveted 300,000 Euro prize fund. Among those scheduled to take part are Tiger Woods’ niece, Cheyenne Woods, and Norway’s Marianne Skarpnord.
The tournament will be preceded by a Pro-Am on 4th December and the event organisers, U.COM Event will be contacting amateur Kenyan golfers to take their place alongside the professionals.
