The United State Department of State has released an exclusive travel alert, which warns about the probable future aggression before the repeat presidential election, which will take place on October 17

The United State Department of State also asked the US citizens, who are currently in Kenya, to stay away from various political gatherings and crowded demonstrations. “There is the opportunity for criminal elements or terrorists to target participants and visitors,” warned the US department of state.

Tuko Politics reports that the alert will be terminated on October 31, 2017. According to the notice, all political events which are placed to be nonviolent can turn rocket into violence. So, all American citizens must be cautious in the vicinity of any significant protests, gatherings, or demonstrations.

The United States citizens are also asked not to visit the following counties: Tana River, Wajir, Mandera, Garissa, Kilifi, and Lamu. Numerous limits on traffic circulation can also be expected.

Additionally, the US Embassy recommends US citizens who are currently in Mombasa, to visit Old Town during daytime only. The department of state also asks Americans to think whether to make use of the Likoni ferry owing to safety reasons.
