Safaricom has partnered with mSurvey to launch Consumer Wallet. The mobile platform will measure offline consumer habits and trends in terms of cash based expenditure of Safaricom mobile subscribers. mSurvey will collect data via SMS and feed it to the Consumer Wallet database in order to determine the preferences of Kenyans on various items.

A beta version of the product was piloted in March 2017 with potential clients and corporate partners and the service will be available on both a subscription and licence basis. The service will enable businesses to make decisions on business strategy and customer needs based on the data collected from Consumer Wallet.
