MultiChoice has taken a beating in recent years as customers have left its pay TV platform DSTV over pricing concerns. In a move that is geared towards stopping further hemorrhage and to expand the customer base, the South African company has appointed 4 new executives in its East African office.

The appointed executives include Kenneth Oyola who was previously with Nokia and later Microsoft and Simon Kariithi who was previously the ‎Director of Internet & Mobile at Samsung East Africa.

The full list is below:

1. Mwendwa Maundu

Mwendwa has been appointed the position of General Manager, Regulatory Affairs within East Africa and will drive regulatory and public policy . Mwendwa has extensive work experience in Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Policy & Regulatory Affairs, Competition Law as well as Intellectual Property (IP)Law. He has worked Safaricom Ltd within the Regulatory & Public Policy Department for the last six years having previously worked for Mohammed Muigai Advocates.

2. Kenneth Oyolla

Kenneth Oyolla is the new General Manager in-charge of Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience and will oversee all DStv and GOtv Sales and Marketing efforts.
Oyolla has held several senior Marketing and Sales positions at Microsoft/Nokia Corporation. He started his career at Unilever Kenya where he held several senior roles in Customer Marketing, Channel Development Manager/National Account Manager- -Durban, South Africa, Trade Marketing Manager, and Brand Manager.

3. Simon Kariithi

Simon is the new General Manager-GOtv Kenya and will lead all GOtv Kenya’s operations. Simon has worked in Samsung Electronics for over 12 years, rising from sales manager to director of Internet & Mobile. He was also previously an Export Manager- Consumer Electronics at Xperts Trading Company UAE.

4. Wycliffe Omondi

Mr. Wycliffe is the new HR Business Partner within East Africa and will be responsible for all HR functions for Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Omondi has been working at Tullow Kenya since January 2013 as the Human Resource Manager. He has held several senior HR positions at Philips South Africa in charge of Africa Market, at Aggreko International and at Unilever East and Southern Africa.
