Liquid Telecom has has extended its Internet fiber network to Garissa County. The fiber in the county spans over 21km and includes a redundancy link. The network was installed at a cost Ksh. 60 million.

The Garissa network connected to Liquid’s Thika to Dabaab fiber connection. The project took four months to complete and has 30 clients so far including the Garissa County government and Kenya Red Cross. Liquid Telecom’s microwave and VSAT networks clients in Garissa have also been migrated to the fiber network.

Liquid has so far connected 39 out of 47 Kenyan counties to their fiber network.
