Kenya is among 200 countries where the Twitter ads service is now available. It was previously only available in 33 countries with South Africa being the only African country. Previously Kenyan using the Twitter ads service either added the US or South Africa as a location to be able to use the service.
Twitter Ads was set up over two years ago and has approximately 100,000 active advertisers.
Kenyans using the service will be able to pay in dollars and use either debit or credit card to pay for the ads. It’s disappointing that the billing is not in Kenya Shillings but we hope that Twitter will include our currency going forward. Also curiously Nairobi is not included as one of the Twitter Time Zones.
