Royal Orchid Hotels Limited has unveiled its first hotel in Kenya – Hotel Royal Orchid Azure, Nairobi. The group’s entry into the Kenyan market follows the signing of a management contract with Canon Aluminium Fabricators, the property owner and developer.

Hotel Royal Orchid Azure is located along Lantana Road, off Rhapta road in Westlands. It offers 165 spacious rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, a lounge bar and a casino. One can also enjoy MICE facilities with multi-functional banqueting spaces.

It took two years to bring the luxury hotel to fruition and Kenyan industrialist Parbat Pindoria, through his company – Canon Aluminium Fabricators was in charge of the construction process.

This is Royal Orchid’s second hotel in Africa and adds to Royal Orchid Malaika Beach Resort in Mwanza, Tanzania, which opened in 2013. Royal Orchid Hotels Founder and Chairman, Mr Chander Baljee said the group planned to invest US$ 15 million over the next 3 years, to further strengthen its presence in East Africa. “We are looking at opportunities to extend our brand to Uganda and Rwanda; we are also in the process of constructing a hotel in Dar es Salaam on a 30 acre parcel of land that we acquired a few years ago”, he said.

The hotel also features an all-day dining destination with 120 seats offering multi-cuisine signature dishes from around the world; Tiger Trail, an authentic Indian specialty restaurant serving grills, kebabs and Indian classics from the culinary regions of India; and 24 hour cafe.
