How engineering students can apply for internship opportunities at Huawei

University students in their 3rd, 4th or 5th year of study and specializing in engineering can now apply for the Huawei Technologies Internship program. The program which is an initiative of Huawei and ICT Authority is named ‘Telecom Seeds for the future’ is open to Kenyan nationals from recognized universities. The initiative will see top ten interns offered a chance to further their skills in China.

Interns are expected to get on-the-job-training and mentorship in order to be better versed with the latest technologies in the telecommunications sector.

The program will:

  • Provide students with an opportunity to learn about the latest Telecommunications technologies
  • Develop local ICT talent
  • Apply knowledge gained in class to a field setting.
  • Promote a greater understanding of and interest in the telecommunications sector
  • Build a regional understanding of ICT and a network of digital professionals

Interested students should fill in an application form available at icta.go.ke.

The deadline for application is on 18th August, 2014. The program commences in September 2014 and lasts two for months.
