Pradeep Paunrana, CEO, ARM Cement will be among the speakers and he’ll give a speech on “Competitive forces shaping the East African cement industry”. He’ll also take part in a panel discussion on the Kenyan Cement
Industry. Other speakers at the event include Aliko Dangote, President/CEO, Dangote Industries, Jonathan Lodompui, Director, Kenya Vision 2030, and Hussein Mansi, Managing Director, Bamburi Cement Group.

The Kenyan cement market has had a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14% per year since 2005 and the industry looks destined to register double digits growth this year. This growth has been spurred by infrastructure developments like roads, railways, airports, ports, power plants and oil pipelines. The same kind of growth is anticipated in other parts of Africa with increasing housing and infrastructure needs In addition to substantial growth in the Eastern Africa region, strong growth for many other parts of Africa is anticipated. Nigeria is a market to watch and even North Africa is likely to improve despite ongoing political uncertainties.
