Wyre - Alaine

First of all Alaine’s voice never disappoints. There’s just some sultriness to it that makes you want to listen to her songs over and over again. That being said, Wyre made a really wise choice picking her to be featured in the song.

Keeping up with Wyre, he has really grown in leaps since his Necessary Noise days and is surely the leading figure in his genre, reggea, in Kenya. It has helped that he has done several collaborations with international artists especially the ones with Gramps Morgan, Cecile and now Alaine. This helps him reach out to a wider audience while also not disappointing his local followers.

Back to the song. I have nothing against the song but the video leaves a really big room for improvement especially on the intro part. The local scene has grown especially in terms of video quality and this, I’m afraid, does not match with some of the video on air at the moment. The Jamaican scenes are good and the dancers really represent but I wish there were a few more scenes done in Kenya. All in all it doesn’t take much away from another hit by Wyre.

Did I see some product placement in there?

Keep it up!
