So you finally know how to act like a socialite. Here’s how to survive in your new found fame. (Read part 2 here)
1. Don’t be a social climber
Desperation in a socialite is like blood in the water and remember you are now swimming with the sharks so they can smell it from miles away. This will get you kicked out of the socialite club as fast as an underage at a Nairobi club (but you are a chic so you don’t know much about this). BE A DIVA or Boss Lady. Again not a subaru.
2. Avoid controversy and scandal as much as possible
Hmmmmm. Interesting they should put this up. They say you should be respectable and mind morals. I am confused on this one. Be humble
3. Learn to deal with malicious gossip
Kenyans are mean, especially those on twitter. Learn to take what people say about you with a pinch of salt. The best thing to do is make sure you have that circle of friends that know you and would vouch for you through thick and thin. Family is also important, according to me, they keep you grounded.
4. Don’t lose yourself
You can lie to everyone else but never lie to yourself. Never lose or forget your values and principles. These are what define you not what other people say or think about you.
