The local dining scene reached a major milestone this month with the official opening of Java House’s 105th branch at Trafford Park, Syokimau. The launch for new outlet was held on April 2, 2026.
Situated at the gateway of Syokimau, the branch is strategically positioned to serve commuters from the Nairobi Expressway and the SGR Terminus, as well as a local population that has seen rental occupancy jump to over 90% in recent years.
During the launch, Java House Group CEO Priscilla Gathungu emphasized that the new branch was designed with the Syokimau resident in mind. The space features:
- Contemporary Design Language: A modern, airy aesthetic that represents the brand’s visual evolution.
- Locally Rooted Art: The walls are adorned with artwork sourced from local artists, specifically curated to reflect the history and spirit of the Syokimau community.
- Work-Friendly Spaces: Recognizing the rise of remote work in suburban hubs, the branch offers high-speed Wi-Fi and ample power outlets for those wishing to work and unwind.
“We are intentional about positioning ourselves within key lifestyle and transit hubs,” said Ms. Gathungu. “Syokimau represents the kind of high-growth node where we want to offer great food and spaces where people can truly connect.”
The investment has been warmly received by local leadership. Mohamed Ismail, Chair of the Syokimau Residents’ Association (SRA), noted that the branch provides a critical boost to the local economy by creating direct employment for residents and supporting local supply chains.
The branch also serves as a gateway for the Java Foundation, which continues its work in the area through initiatives like Food For Education, supporting local schools and agricultural sustainable practices.
The Trafford Park branch offers the full range of Java House classics—from the iconic giant milkshakes and breakfast combos to a new 2026 menu featuring healthier options and local fusion dishes.
The branch is now open to the public daily, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, and is integrated with local delivery apps for residents looking for convenience at home.
