The Xiaomi Redmi A1+ smartphone is set to be launched in the Kenyan market this week on Friday, October 7.
The phone company has announced that the Xiaomi Redmi A1+ will join a range of affordable Redmi smartphones launched this year in the Kenyan market.
The Xiaomi Redmi A1+ Android smartphone runs on Android 12 + MIUI 12 operating system. It comes with a 6.52 inch IPS LCD touchscreen, MT6761 Helio A22 chipset, 5000 mAh battery, 32 GB internal storage, 2 GB RAM and a 8 Megapixel camera.
Xiaomi in 2019 launched the Redmi as a sub-brand, with the Redmi 7 as their maiden smartphone. The Redmi smartphones have proved to be popular with consumers in Kenya. They include the Redmi Note 9 (Ksh 18,500), Redmi 9T (Ksh 17,000), Redmi 9C (Ksh 14,400), Redmi 9A (Ksh 11,000).
The company hasn’t announced the price of the phone but we estimate that the phone will cost on or around Ksh. 15,000.
