“After COVID-19 hit most students and the youth got involved in drug and alcohol abuse because of all the isolation and loneliness. We are happy to give them this chance to come together through the Maser sports festival and do what they love. I watched the games virtually and I am happy to see that we can make a difference, and help people stay active and in good health,” said Mr. Prateek Suri CEO Maser.
Kenyatta University’s Vikings won the tournament, third place was taken by Chrome Gin (Kenyatta University while Badgers from Nairobi came in second place.
“We were honored to host the tournament and very happy that companies like Maser are supporting our students through sports. We welcome more collaboration even in other sports because these young men and women are the future of this country” Mr. Waweru Kamata the Sports Director at JKUAT said.
The winners were awarded sound systems, vacuum cleaners and television sets. JKUAT team captain, Eugin Lubang’a, lauded the organizers of the event appealing for such events to be done countrywide to give young people an opportunity where they can exploit their talents.
