Guinness has launched a 12-week campaign dubbed Guinness Night Football’ to give consumers an opportunity to represent Kenya in a pan-African tournament in Lagos, Nigeria.

The campaign encourages football fans to either participate for a chance to win or watch for their love of football.  The winning team from Kenya will represent the country alongside a team from Uganda and host Nigeria. These three markets will then battle it out for the ultimate crown and the winner will face off with Rio Ferdinand’s celebrity team. The games will be aired live on  DSTV. The five-aside team to represent Kenya at the Pan-African tournament will be the winning amateur team from the four regional night football tournaments to be held across the country.

Each regional winner team will be awarded Kshs. 50,000 and a chance to travel to Nairobi to battle it out in the finals to determine the winning 5-Aside team to the pan-African tournament. The 1st runners up in the regionals will get Kshs. 20,000.

The 5-member team will register via the appointed ‘captain’ who will share team member details. This is by filling registration forms in the outlets or through the Guinness microsite on the brand’s social media pages

The first regional event will take place on 25th of October 2019 at Simba Union Club in Kisumu. The final tournament in Nairobi will have the first runners up winning Kshs. 150,000, while the second runners up will win Kshs. 100,000 respectively for the teams.

The campaign will run from 22nd October to 7th December 2019.
