Safaricom is a telecommunication company in Kenya with services such as SMS, voice calls, mobile internet and Safaricom M-pesa.
Safaricom offers services all over Kenya that include mobile internet in 2G, 3G and 4G and also home fibre. In February 2019, the company announced that it has deployed a 400G network link, making it among the first in the world to commercially deploy the solution. The new 400G link enables Safaricom to support increasing video consumption alongside demand for higher video quality from both its home and mobile customers. It will also support its plans to launch IOT devices on its network.
Safaricom offers data bundles for 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days. Some of the data bundles come with calls and free WhatsApp. The bundled data bundles were launched in February 2019 and are called All in One Monthly Bundles and customers get both calls and data. There is also the option of getting a data only bundle. The bundles last for 30 days and are available at five price points i.e. Ksh. 1,000, Ksh. 2,000, Ksh. 3,000, Ksh. 5,000 and Ksh. 10,000.
