It is that time of the year when Nairobi’s most exciting culinary event that is the Nairobi Restaurant Week (NRW) makes a comeback. The event which started back in 2014 has grown over the years with more participating restaurants much to the delight of Nairobians. There are over 60 of the best restaurants in the city are participating including Tribe, Asmara, Brew Bistro among others. The Nairobi Restaurant Week will take place from Thursday 26th January to Sunday 5th February 2017.
For those who enjoy their tipple, the NRW 2017 has teamed up with spirits distributor Pernod Ricard Kenya. Pernod have an extensive portfolio of spirits such as Absolut & Chivas which will be on offer at the participating restaurants. During the course of the NRW, restaurants will offer pre fix menus for lunch and dinner whereby a majority of the restaurants will offer a 2 course lunch at Ksh. 950 and a 3 course dinner with a complementary beverage at Ksh.1,950. A few others will offer a 5 course dinner with a complimentary beverage at Ksh,3,950. To promote responsible drinking, EatOut has this year partnered with Little Cabs in order to offer discounted taxi rides to and from restaurants. The rides will be redeemable using a voucher code.
As part of their CSR initiative, EatOut will host a charity cocktail night with all the proceeds from ticket sales being donated to Farm Africa. Farm Africa is an international organization that works to build a prosperous rural Africa. They help farmers to increase their harvests to build their incomes and sustain natural resources, partnering with governments and the private sector finding effective ways to fight poverty.
