EatOut has launched a new festival, the Nairobi Beer Festival, to celebrate beer. The festival will run for a period of 10 days and will coincide with the Oktoberfest Beer Festival.

The festival will have two components i.e.

1. Beer tasting event

There will be a two-day beer tasting event on the 29th and 30th September at Js Fresh Bar and Kitchen in Westlands. The event is organised in partnership with Baraka Events and will bring together beer lovers, distributors and master brewers in one space. Beer enthusiasts will have the chance to sample over 40 different varieties of beer.

Aside from sampling beers, attendees will also get a mini food pairing kit that includes gourmet cheese, limited edition tortilla chips and handcrafted candy to munch on throughout the tasting event.

VIPs will get a gourmet food pairing kit with gourmet snacks, professional beer glasses and limited edition T-shirts. They will also get beer-tails in the VIP zone. Master Class ticket holders will get a food and beer pairing session with a professional brewer.

Regular tickets are Ksh 1,500. VIP and Masterclass tickets are Ksh 3,000 and Ksh 2,500 respectively. There will be no tickets sold at the gate.

2. Beer promotions at different bars and restaurants

There will be beer promotions in Nairobi bars and restaurants from 1st -7th October. Participating outlets will have offers such as all day happy-hours, beer bucket deals and beer and food combos. Some of the participating restaurants include: Brew Bistro, Kengeles, Artcaffe, Roadhouse Grill, Sierra among others.

Beer brands for the festival include Tusker Lager, Guinness and WhiteCap Lager, Carlsberg, Tuborg, Heineken, Desperados, Amstel, Alska Cider, Oettinger, Warsteiner, Sierra, Big Five and Bateleur.
