CAP Youth Empowerment Institute (CAP YEI) has received Ksh. 1 Billion (USD 10.5 million) funding from The MasterCard Foundation to train 62,000 Kenyan youth. The partnership between the two organizations will take place over a five year period and will provide young people with technical and employability skills and support them to get jobs or start their own businesses.

CAP YEI will 23,000 youth directly and also train an additional 39,000 youth through partnerships with 100 vocational training centres. They will also support 4,000 youth who will take part in the program to set up businesses.

CAP YEI launched their youth training project in 2011 and have directly trained more than 9,000 Kenyan youth. They have also trained 5,800 youth through partnerships with 46 vocational training centres in Kenya.
